Dates Announced for the 2018 Little League® World Series Tournaments

The official dates for the 2018 Little League® World Series Tournaments were approved on Friday, Nov. 10, at the annual fall meeting of the Little League International Board of Directors.

“With the official approval by our Board of Directors, I am proud to once again announce the schedule for our seven World Series tournaments in 2018,” said Stephen D. Keener, Little League President and CEO. “We look forward to another exciting season of Little League Baseball and Softball around the world with the culmination of the year celebrated at the International Tournament in July and August. These tournaments spotlight the hard work and dedication of our players, parents, and volunteers that can be found in thousands of communities throughout the year.”
The final phase of the 2018 International Tournament schedule begins on July 28 with the Senior League Baseball World Series in Easley, S.C. On July 29, the Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series and the Junior League Softball World Series will commence, and a day later, the Senior League Softball World Series will begin in Lower Sussex, Del. On August 8, the Little League Softball® World Series will get underway for its 25th year in Portland, Ore., and on August 12, the Junior League Baseball World Series will begin its eight-day slate. As it does every year, the tournament schedule will conclude with the Little League Baseball® World Series from August 16-26 in South Williamsport, Pa.
Over the course of 30 days, approximately 935 Little Leaguers® ages 10 to 16 from 78 different baseball and softball teams around the world will compete to determine the seven World Series champions for 2018.   • Little League Baseball® World Series (August 16-26, 2018)
    • Eligible Age: 10- to 12-year-olds
    • Location: South Williamsport, Pa. (Volunteer Stadium & Howard J. Lamade Stadium)
    • History: 60th Season in South Williamsport; 72nd Season Overall
    • 2017 Champion: Japan Region - Tokyo Kitasuna Little League (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Little League® Intermediate (50/70) Baseball World Series (July 29 - August 5, 2018)
    • Eligible Age: 11- to 13-year-olds
    • Location: Livermore, Calif. (Max Baer Park)
    • History: 6th Season in Livermore; 6th Season Overall
    • 2017 Champion: Puerto Rico Region - Radames Lopez Little League (Guayama, P.R.)
  • Junior League Baseball World Series (August 12-19, 2018)
    • Eligible Age: 12- to 14-year-olds
    • Location: Taylor, Mich. (Heritage Park)
    • History: 38th Season in Taylor; 38th Season Overall
    • 2017 Champion: Asia-Pacific Region - Shing-Ming Junior Little League (Taoyuan City, Chinese Taipei)
