Reynolds allowed three hits, two walks and struck out nine during his performance on the mound for Bend North LL while racking up a pair of RBI and a third-inning double at the plate to help earn the title.
Oregon rallied together in the third inning behind a RBI double by Reynolds and with the help of three more runs in the top of the fifth, Bend North LL was able to go on and seal the victory. Washington managed to score run in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Max Kruse, but it was not enough as Bend North Little League would hold on to take home the title and the right to head to South Williamsport for the 2016 Little League Baseball World Series.
This marks the first time in history that Bend North LL will make the trip to Williamsport and only the sixth time that a team from Oregon will be represented in the Little League Baseball World Series.
As the representative of the Northwest Region, Bend North Little League will open the 2016 Little League Baseball World Series on Thursday, Aug. 18, as it takes on Tennessee's Goodlettsville Baseball Little League at 7 p.m. in Howard J. Lamade Stadium.
