DelVal ranked 25th in the country
The Aggies, coming off a 9-2 campaign (7-2 MAC) and their 12th trip to the postseason in the last 13 years, notched four first-place votes and a total of 75 points in this year's poll. Defending MAC champion Albright College was just one point behind as it picked up six first-place votes.
The entire 2016 MAC preseason coaches' poll is as follows:
1. Delaware Valley University (4) -- 75 points
2. Albright College (6) -- 74 points
3. Stevenson University -- 68 points
4. Widener University -- 56 points
5. Lycoming College -- 50 points
6. Lebanon Valley College -- 43 points
7. King's College -- 24 points
T8. FDU-Florham -- 21 points
T8. Wilkes University -- 21 points
10. Misericordia University -- 18 points

Third-year head coach Duke Greco, who spent the preceding eight years as DelVal's offensive coordinator and assistant head coach, has 15 starters back (seven offense, six defense, two specialty) back from the 2015 squad that defeated Moravian College in the inaugural Centennial-MAC Bowl Series. Among the returnees are senior team captains and all-conference honorees Tyler Bing (wide receiver), Aric Boyes (defensive lineman) and Shawn Miller (safety).
DelVal, which is ranked 25th in the country by D3football.com, opens its 2016 campaign on Friday, September 2 (6 p.m.) when it travels to seventh-ranked Wesley College for a non-conference game. MAC play begins on Saturday, September 10 (1 p.m.) when the Aggies host Misericordia University. DelVal and Albright will meet in Doylestown on Saturday, September 24 (1 p.m.).
