Lebanon Valley Football - MAC Releases Football Preseason Coaches' Poll

ANNVILLE, Pa. – This morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its 2016 football preseason coaches' poll.

Lebanon Valley just missed out on the top five, earning 43 points and being pegged sixth in the conference. The Flying Dutchmen are coming off a 2015 campaign that saw them finish 5-4 in league play and 5-5 overall. LVC dropped three games by one possession or less a year ago.

Delaware Valley edged out the defending MAC champs from Albright to earn the poll's top spot with 75 points and four first-place votes. The Lions received more first place votes than any other team with six and totaled 74 points.

Stevenson ranked third with 68 points, Widener was fourth with 56 points, and Lycoming rounded out the top five with 50 total points.

LVC opens the 2016 season at Franklin & Marshall on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 3.
