Lock Haven University - PSAC announces Preseason Football Coaches’ Poll

Today marked the official start of the 2016 football season for LHU as the PSAC held its annual Media Day festivities.
KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Today (Monday, August 8) marked the official start of the Lock Haven University football team’s 2016 season as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) held its annual Media Day.

LHU second-year head coach Dave Taynor was joined by record-breaking quarterback Caleb Walton and returning All-PSAC running back Malyk Harris as the Bald Eagles were represented at the PSAC’s Eastern Division Media Day held on the campus of Kutztown University.

As part of the Media Day festivities, the PSAC announced the 2016 Preseason Coaches’ Poll and Lock Haven was picked to finish sixth in the East.

West Chester grabbed six of eight first-place votes and was tabbed as the Eastern Division’s preseason favorite. Shippensburg was picked second and Bloomsburg checked in at No. 3.

In the Western Division, IUP was picked as the preseason favorite.

The Bald Eagles report to preseason camp on Saturday, August 13 to begin their second season under coach Taynor. LHU will kick off the 2016 season at Clarion University in a non-conference game on Thursday, September 1 at 6 p.m.
