The PSAC has announced the preseason men’s cross country coaches poll and the Bald Eagles have been picked second.
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) has announced the Preseason Men’s Cross Country Coaches’ poll and the Lock Haven University men’s cross country program landed at No. 2 in the rankings.
The Bald Eagles received four first-place votes.
Shippensburg grabbed the remaining 12 first-place votes and was tabbed as the favorite. IUP was ranked third.
Last year The Haven won the PSAC Championship for the third consecutive year and the Bald Eagles captured the Regional Championship in two of the previous three years. Last year the Bald Eagles finished the season 11th at the NCAA Championship.
The Bald Eagles return three All-Conference runners from last year, including Addison Monroe (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County), Jacob Fetterman (Sugarloaf, Pa./Hazleton) and Jereamy Hall (Waldorf, Md./Westlake).
The Bald Eagles lace up the spikes for the first time this Saturday August 27 (11am) at the annual Traditions Run/George Settle Alumni 5K.
