Lemieux racked up three RBIs on two hits for Rhode Island, homering in the third inning while sending a double in the fifth inning.
On the mound, Lemieux dominated as he did not allow an earned run on the day, giving up six hits and only one walk while recording six strikeouts in five innings of work for Rhode Island.
The third inning saw Fairfield American LL score its only run on the day on an error.
Warwick North LL never trailed after scoring three runs in the third thanks to a two-run home run by Lemieux and a RBI single by Domenic Brazeau.
Warwick North LL was able to add to its lead with two more runs in the fifth as Lemieux started the inning with a double, plating Brazeau, before Sean Gallagher could send a single to score Lemieux.
This marks the ninth time a team from Rhode Island will head to South Williamsport for the Little League Baseball World Series including each of the last two years.
As the representative of the New England Region, Warwick North Little League will open up the 2016 LLBWS on Thursday, Aug. 18, at 3 p.m. as it takes on the winner of the Mid-Atlantic Region.
