Lock Haven University - Shultz named PSAC Athlete of the Week

Amanda Shultz of the women’s cross country program has been named this week’s PSAC Athlete of the Week.
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Freshman sensation Amanda Shultz (New Cumberland, Pa./ Cedar Cliff) of the Lock Haven University women’s cross country team has been selected this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend.

She finished second out of 206 runners at Saturday’s LHU Invitational, helping Lock Haven finish third overall.

Shultz was second overall, just three seconds behind the winner. She crossed the line in 22:28.30 (6K) and was the top PSAC and NCAA DII finisher. Shultz has been Lock Haven's top-finisher in all three meets so far this season.

The Bald Eagles will lace up the spikes this Saturday October, 1 at the Paul Short Invitational. (9:30 a.m.)
