Cutters Josh Stephen Provides Walk Off In 12th Inning

Josh Stephen breaks up a double play ball and produces a "Walk Off" Single in 4-3 victory for the Cutters.
Game Highlights: July 15, 2017 – For the second time this season, Josh Stephen provided the game-winning hit, as the Cutters took the middle game of the series against Lowell, 4-3, in 12 innings.

Stephen finished the night 1 for 5, but his single into center field, scoring Malvin Matos from 2nd base to provide the winning run. It was Stephen’s 10th RBI of the season.

Jake Scheiner finished the night 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles and a home run, his first as a pro. Scheiner now has 4 RBI on the season. Also, Rodolfo Duran finished the night 3 for 5 with a trio of singles.

Jhon Nunez, Connor Seabold, Gustavo Armas and Randy Alcantara combined to allow one run in 9.1 innings of relief after starter Spencer Howard went 2.2 innings, allowing two runs.

Cutters pitching tied a season-high, striking out 16 Lowell Spinners in the win. The win gives the Crosscutters their first series victory over the Lowell Spinners since the 2011 season.
