Cutters Mauled In West Virginia Series Finale

Game Highlights: July 3, 2017 – Even though the Crosscutters collected a season-high 14 hits, it wasn’t enough to get passed West Virginia, falling 11-6 in the series finale.

Gregori Rivero finished the night 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI. It was his first home run of the season. Rivero now has six RBI on the season.

Josh Stephen connected on his first home run of the season, finishing the night 2 for 4 with an RBI. Stephen has six RBI on the year.

Greg Pickett finished the night 3 for 5 with a double and a RBI. Pickett also recorded his sixth RBI of the season.

Jhailyn Ortiz went 2 for 5, picking up his sixth RBI of the season along the way.

Six different Crosscutters finished with multi-hit games, lead by Greg Pickett’s three hit performance.

West Virginia scored nine of their 11 runs in the 7th and 8th innings against the Crosscutters bullpen. 10 of the 11 runs scored with two outs in the inning.

The 11 hits and 11 runs are all season-highs allowed by Williamsport pitching.
