Cutters Scheiner's run leads Williamsport to 2-1 sweep over Batavia

Ramirez Slams Door In Sweep
Game Highlights: July 22, 2017 – Luis Ramirez struck out the side in the bottom of the 9th inning, sealing his 4th save and giving the Cutters the 2-1 win and a sweep of the Batavia Muckdogs.

Both runs for the Crosscutters were unearned, taking advantaged of both Batavia errors to score their runs. Jake Scheiner recorded his fourth three-hit game of the season, finishing the night 3 for 4 with his team-leading 9th double and a run scored.

Nick Maton finished the night 2 for 4 with a pair of singles and his 12th run scored as Colby Fitch had his eight-game hitting streak snapped, going 0 for 4.

Luis Ramirez struck out the side in the bottom of the 9th inning, working around a walk to earn his 4th save in 5attempts. Williamsport has won the last 19 games against Batavia dating back to the 2015 season.
