Ortiz Home Run Drives Cutters Victory

Jahilyn Ortiz belted his 7th home run of the season
Game Highlights: July 29, 2017 – Jahilyn Ortiz belted his 7th home run of the season and collected three RBI to propel the Cutters to a 5-4 victory over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

For Ortiz, he finished the night 2 for 3 with a single, two-run home run and sacrifice fly. The home run, his 7th gives him a tied for the most in the New York-Penn League, while the three RBI gives him 24 on the season, which at lst check was good for a tie for the most in the league.

Austin Listi and Greg Pickett each recorded an RBI in the Cutters win, for Listi it was his 17th of the year and for Pickett it was his 13th. Listit is now alone in second on the club in the RBI category.

Will Stewart allowed three runs, one earned, over five innings of work to earn his 3rd win of the season. Randy Alcantara and Luis Ramirez combined to allow one run, unearned, over for innings of relief, as Ranirez earned his 5th save of the year.

The Crosscutters tied a season-high, committing five errors in the win. The win snaps a three-game losing streak, and gives the Cutters the season series victory over the Scrappers, winning four of the six games.
