Baseball - Cutters Offense Stalls In Extra Innings

Game Highlights: August 9, 2017 – For the second straight night, the Crosscutters jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, only to see the Staten Island Yankees leave with a 3-2 win late. The theme is beginning to sound like, "I Hate New York" after this three game stand in NYC.


Cutters pitcher Andrew Brown allowed two runs over six innings of work, scattering six hits, striking out two and failing to allow a walk in a no decision. Randy Alcantara was outstanding, providing four innings of shutout relief, working around three hits and a walks while striking out three.

Kyle Dohy took the loss, allowing one run over .2 of an inning. Dohy did not allow a hit, but walked a pair and hit a batter in the loss.

#8 Greg Pickett
Greg Pickett connected on his 4th home run of the season, giving him 16 RBI on the season. He has homered in back-to-back games, joining Cole Stobbe and Jhailyn Ortiz as the only Cutters to do that this season.

#37 Adam Haseley
Adam Haseley extended his hit streak to 9-straight games with a double in the 5th inning. It was his 9th double of the season.

Williamsport finished the night 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position and left 10 runners on base in the loss.
