Baseball - Crosscutters gets lost in the fog in double header

Game Highlights: August 12th, 2017 – Mother Nature made her presence known as the Crosscutters were swept in a doubleheader by the Tri-City ValleyCats.

Game one of the doubleheader was delayed 63 minutes due to rain. Game two featured a 35 minute fog delay in the top of the 6th inning, totaling 98 minutes of delays on the day.

Williamsport falls to 0-5 in doubleheaders this season, having been swept in two doubleheaders at home this season.

The Crosscutters have now been shutout three times in 2017, twice at home and twice in their last three games.

Malvin Matos recorded a base hit in each game, extending his hit-streak to nine games, tying Adam Haseley for the longest hit-streak on the club this season.

Josh Stephen had a two-run double in the first game, giving him his 17th and 18th RBI on the season. It was his first RBI since July 24th.
