Baseball - Cutters Streak Snapped At Batavia

Game Highlights: August 2, 2017 – The Williamsport Crosscutters had their 19-game win streak against the Batavia Muckdogs snapped with a 4-3 walk off loss in the opening game of the series.

Adam Haseley drove in a pair of the Crosscutters runs, finishing the night 2 for 4 with two RBI to give him 14 RBI on the season. It was Haseley’s fourth-straight two hit game, going 8 for 16 in that span.


Nick Maton, Jake Scheiner and Josh Stephen joined Haseley with multi-hit games, each recording two hits a piece in the losing effort.

Kyle Young had his longest outing of the season, allowing two runs, both earned, over six innings. The southpaw struck out seven batters while walking three and giving seven hits in a no decision.

The Crosscutters last loss to Batavia was on August 28th, 2015 in Batavia, spanning nearly two full calendar years in between losses.

Williamsport went 4 for 15 with runners in scoring position and left eight runners on base.
