Cole Stobbe Lifts Cutters With Seventh Home Run Of The Year

Game Highlights: August 1, 2017 – Cole Stobbe broke out of a slump, drilling a two-run home run to give thebCutters the lead late, en route to a 3-2 win over West Virginia. Stobbe finished the night 1 for 3 with the home run and two RBI. The home run was the 7h of the season for the Cutters 3rd basemen, and his 17th and 18th RBI of the season. It was Stobbe’s first home run since July 16th vs Lowell.

Adam Haseley finished the night 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored, recording his third-straight multi-hit game in the process. Luis Encarnacion finished the night 2 for 4, picking up his first multi-hit game of the season with Williamsport.

Andrew Brown tossed 6.1 innings, allowing two runs in a no decision. Randy Alcantara earned the win, tossing 1.2 innings of scoreless relief. Luis Ramirez earned his 6th save of the year, throwing a perfect 9th inning.

It was the first series win against the West Virginia BlackBears this season for the Williamsport Crosscutters.
