Zach Warren was excellent out of the bullpen, tossing 2.1 innings of scoreless relief. Warren allowed two hits while striking out two. Cole Stobbe extended his hit-streak to six games with a 1st inning single. Stobbe finished the night 1 for 4. Josh Stephen collected the Crosscutters other hit on the night, picking up a single in the top of the 8th inning, finishing the night 1 for 3.
The Crosscutters were retired in order in six of the nine innings by Spikes pitching. It was the fourth time this season that the Crosscutters have been shutout, with it being the second time the Spikes have blanked the Cutters.
The Crosscutters elimination number in both the Pinckney division race and the Wild Card race have fallen into single digits with the loss.
