Cutters Highlight Player - Greg Pickett

Greg Pickett has a slugging percentage of .426
Williansport, PA - First baseman Greg Pickett had a lot of action last evening as the Crosscutters defeated the West Virginia Blackbears 3-2. Pickett has some impressive batting statistics and is a proficient fielder.

Pickett has played in 32 games and has a slugging percentage of .426. Slugging percentage (abbreviated SLG and also calledSlugging average) is the number of total bases divided by the number of at bats. Its formula is ([Singles] + [Doubles x 2] + [Triples x 3] + [Home Runs x 4])/[At Bats.

Greg's batting average for the 2017 season is .319 and is on base more than one out of every three at bats. He has two home runs and seven doubles. Add to that 38 singles,

Last evening Pickett scooped a one hopper in the dirt from third baseman Cole Stobbee (who made a great stop on a hot shot down the line) to save a run. Plays like that don't show up in the stats, but in a 3-2 squeaker, they mean so much. All in all, Greg is having a very good year.
