Cutters Swept by the Auburn Muckdogs

Game Highlights: August 21st, 2017 - For the second straight game, the Crosscutters saw an early lead go by the wayside, as they fell to the Muckdogs 10-4, being swept in the process.

Josh Stephen finished the night 2-4 with a pair of RBI, connecting on his 2nd home run of the season. Stephen ranks second on the club with 24 RBI. Greg Pickett finished the night 1 for 4, hitting his 5th home run of the season and picking up his 18th RBI of the season.

All five of Pickett’s home runs have come on the road.

Ramon Rosso got the start, allowing four runs, all earned, on three hits in three plus innings of work. Rosso walked three and struckout five.

Damon Jones took the loss, allowing six runs, all earned, in one plus inning of work. Jones walked four batters and struck out two in the loss.

The Crosscutters in total allowed nine walks in the losing effort. The Crosscutters were swept by the Muckdogs for the first time since the 2012 season.

The Crosscutters five game losing streak is their second longest of the season, having a pair of six-game losing streaks on the season.
