DANBURY, CT – Wilkes University field hockey standout senior Marissa Surdy has been named ECAC Division III North Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Surdy earned the award after leading the Lady Colonels to a 1-1 week, recording two goals in a 4-3 overtime win over Marywood on Wednesday before recording another two goals in the teams' 5-2 loss at Arcadia on Saturday morning. She was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week for her efforts earlier in the week.
Wilkes returns to action today when it hosts Keystone in a 4:00 p.m. non-conference game at Schmidt Stadium.
