Wilkes Women's Soccer and Marywood to Host Joint Fundraiser

SCRANTON, Pa. - Both the Wilkes University and Marywood University women's soccer programs will host a joint fundraiser for the family of Wilkes almuna and former Marywood assistant coach Nina (Kocylowski) Herbst during their non-conference game on Saturday, September 9th. 

Herbst, her husband Bryan, their four young children, and a cousin were struck by a car while walking through their neighborhood. While the family has been upgraded to fair condition and continues to improve daily, they will require extensive physical therapy and additional surgeries. 

Donations will run from the 1:00 p.m. start time of the women's game through halftime of the Marywood men's soccer game against Ursinus that starts at 4:00 p.m. Donations will go directly to help with medical expenses. 

In addition to direct cash donations, Rainbow Jewelers in Kingston has generously donated items for raffle with tickets sold at $10 per ticket:

Also, the Marywood Women's Soccer team will be selling scarves in the colors of both Marywood and Wilkes. Scarves will be available for $10 each.
