DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Undefeated Delaware Valley University inched closer to the top five in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III poll as the Aggies went up one spot to sixth following their 41-6 triumph at No. 24 and previously unbeaten Albright College. DelVal is still 10th in the latest D3football.com Top 25 poll.

The Aggies (6-0, 5-0 Middle Atlantic Conference) received 963 points in the AFCA poll to trail only defending champion Mary Hardin Baylor, Mount Union, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, North Central and St. Thomas are ranked higher. Hardin-Simmons was fifth in last week’s poll, but a 17-7 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor resulted in them slipping to eighth and allowing DelVal to up a spot.

For D3football.com, the Aggies received 414 points to remain 10th for the third week in a row. Nothing changed in the top 10 as Hardin-Simmons remained fifth despite the loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor, which heads that poll as well.

DelVal will have three of its final four games at home, starting with a Homecoming meeting with MAC foe King’s College on Saturday, October 14 (12:30 p.m.).
