"Dinner With Darragh" Event This Thursday At Quaker Steak And Lube
BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - After a one-year hiatus, Bloomsburg University head football coach Paul Darragh is again holding his dinner series, "Dinner With Darragh", at the Quaker Steak and Lube located on Columbia Mall Drive this fall. After a great turnout at the first event of the season on Thursday, September 7, the second installment will be held this Thursday, October 5 - two days prior to the Huskies' Homecoming date against Kutztown.

The series will wrap up on Thursday, October 26 as a preview for this year's Hall of Fame Weekend game against Lock Haven.

The events are open to the public with dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a short program to follow. A buffet dinner will be held each night with the cost of the meal being $13 per person - including a non-alcoholic beverage. Following the dinner, Darragh will speak about the season, preview the upcoming game, and introduce members of the coaching staff and players from this year's roster.

Darragh, who is in his fifth season as the Huskies' head coach, sports a 38-14 overall record (.731). He entered the season with 34 victories over his first four seasons which marked the most wins in the first four years of a coaching career at Bloomsburg while his .723 winning percentage entering 2017 was the second-best mark during the first four years of a coaching tenure (Robert Redman went 30-4 (.882) from 1947 to 1950). With Darragh on the Huskies' staff, dating back to his first season as defensive coordinator in 1997, Bloomsburg has compiled an overall record of 179-58 (.755).

The first two seasons of the Darragh Era will go down as two of the strongest in Huskies' history. Darragh posted a 21-4 overall record, back-to-back PSAC East titles, two NCAA Playoff berths, and a PSAC Championship (2013) while being named PSAC East Coach of the Year in both 2013 and 2014. He also became the fastest Huskies' head coach to reach 20 victories. Following the 2014 season, he was honored as the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Super Region One Coach of the Year.

Bloomsburg will be looking for its fifth consecutive win on Saturday, October 7 when it hosts Kutztown University in the annual Homecoming game.
