MADISON, N.J. - The FDU football team will host Wilkes on Saturday for its Homecoming game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Robert T. Shields Field. Coming off the bye week, the Devils sit with a 1-5 record, including an 0-5 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference. In the last game, FDU was tripped up by Lycoming 48-21 on October 7.

Sophomore Jagger Green set school records in passing attempts (68) and completions (53), while junior Mike Panzarino had 24 catches for 140 yards. The 24 catches not only broke the school record, but also broke the Division I and II mark. Panzarino was one reception from tying the Division III mark.

The Colonels enter the game with an 0-6 record, 0-5 in conference. Also coming off a bye, Wilkes was knocked off by Widener October 7 in their homecoming game.

Trailing 28-26 with 56 seconds left in the game last October, Green led the Devils on a 7-play, 90 yard drive, and hooked up with Panzarino on a 21 yard touchdown with three seconds left to win. Green finished with 361 yards passing in the victory.

Panzarino was selected to the Division III Team of the Week based on his performance against Wilkes. He joins senior Malik Pressley and freshman Kyle Connelly to be named DIII Team of the Week.

With his touchdown against Wilkes, Pressley tied the school-record of 30 set by FDU Hall of Fame member Vic Moncato.

Recently retired Director of Athletics Bill Klika will participate in the coin toss prior to the game, and then there will be a halftime celebration honoring Klika for his 44 years of service to the university. Klika was the first Head Coach of the FDU football program, leading the team from 1974-96 and then again in 2001 and 2002.
