Montoursville – A section of Route 1003 (Wallis Run Road) in Lycoming County, which has been closed due to a soil slide that occurred during flooding in October 2016, is now open.
The reconstructed road connects to a temporary bridge currently in place over Wallis Run.
There is single lane traffic controlled with temporary traffic signals over the temporary bridge. Single lane conditions will remain in place until a permanent bridge is completed and open to traffic in mid-December.
Motorists should drive with caution through the area due to continuing construction activity.
Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the prime contractor on this $5 million project.
