DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Delaware Valley University senior linebacker Nick Wright (Hatfield, PA/North Penn) has been selected to the 2017 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District 4 First Team.

The team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. District 4 consists of all Division III schools in Pennsylvania. Wright advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in December.

Wright is having a year to remember for the 10-0 Aggies, who are preparing for this Saturday’s NCAA Division III first-round home playoff match-up with Western New England University. He will enter the contest with 42 tackles, four pass breakups, three interceptions, three sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery to his credit. He has scored 20 points on defense/special teams with three touchdowns and a safety. Earlier this week, Wright was named to the all-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) first team.

On the academic side, Wright is a business administration major with a 3.74 grade point average. He has been named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team and the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll in each of the last two seasons and will be a candidate this year as well.
