Lycoming Men's Basketball To Host New Paltz In Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament Friday At Lamade Gym

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - After 11 straight wins before the Christmas Break, the ninth-ranked Lycoming College men’s basketball team will look to win its fifth straight Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament game when it hosts New Paltz on Friday, Dec. 29, at 6 p.m. at Lamade Gym.


In the team’s 82-69 win against Marywood, senior Chris Wallace led the Warriors (11-0 overall) with 16 points, three blocks and three steals and he scored his 1,000th career point. Junior Darius James added a tied for season-high 15 points as the Warriors hit 31-of-41 free throws.

Dylan Balducci leads the Hawks (3-6 overall) with 13.7 points per game off the bench. In their last game against Western Connecticut, New Paltz came away with an 83-75 win. Brandon Guestrecorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Warrior Notes
• Lycoming leads the MAC Commonwealth in scoring (84.2), scoring margin (14.6), 3-point field goal percentage (.407), turnovers forced  (247) and turnover margin (+6.18).

• The Warriors’ 11-0 start is the second best in program history, just behind the 2011-12 team that started 12-0.

• With a first-half free throw against Marywood, senior Chris Wallace became the 31st Warrior in program history to score 1,000 career points. He finished the game with 1,013 career points and needs two more points to pass John Boyd (1957-61) and four more to pass Jack Sowers (1947-51) for 29th in program history.

• The Warriors rank fourth in Division III in total free throws made (213) and free throws attempted (293).

• With three more blocks, Wallace will tie Justin Miller (2010-14) for seventh most in program history with 74.
