BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - Bloomsburg University will be celebrating the 1991-92 women's basketball team that claimed the program's first-ever Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) championship on Saturday, February 10, during a basketball doubleheader against Millersville University at the Nelson Field House.

The women's game against the Marauders will tip-off at 1:00 p.m. while the men's game will follow at 3:00 p.m. The 1992 championship team will be honored at halftime of the men's game with a pot luck to follow the conclusion of the doubleheader. It will be an opportunity to meet and mingle with some of the program's former, and current, players and coaches.

The 1991-92 squad, under head coach Joe Bressi, posted a record of 22-8 during the season, knocking off Clarion University, 79-75, in the semifinals, before taking care of Edinboro University, 70-40, to win the program's first conference title. The Huskies advanced to the first round of the NCAA playoffs where they saw their season come to an end with a 79-50 loss to North Dakota.

Two future Bloomsburg University Athletic Hall of Fame members were part of the title-winning squad - Michelle Simons and Kathy Maguire.
