WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - For the second time in 2017-18, the top two scoring offenses in the MAC Commonwealth will clash when the Lycoming College women's basketball team heads to No. 20/25 Messiah College on Wednesday, Jan. 24, for a 6 p.m. clash at the brand-new Hitchcock Arena.

The Warriors (13-4 overall, 7-2 MAC Commonwealth) are out to their best start in 30 years and have won six of their last seven games, including a 69-60 win over Hood College on Saturday. Four players scored in double figures in the win for the second straight game.

The Falcons (15-2 overall, 7-1 MAC Commonwealth) are second in the conference to the Warriors with a scoring average of 71.8 points per game, while its 51.6 points allowed is tops in the league.

Game Notes
• The Warriors' magic number to clinch a spot in the MAC Commonwealth Championship is four. Any number of Lycoming wins or losses by the sixth-place team (Arcadia and Widener) will lower the number.

• The Warriors lead the MAC Commonwealth in scoring offense (71.9), field goal percentage defense (.333), 3-point field goal percentage (.369), 3-point field goals made (6.1), rebounds (44.6) and blocked shots (6.0).

• The Warriors are seventh in Division III with 6.0 blocked shots per game and 12th with a .369 3-point field goal percentage.

• With 1,152 career points, senior Shelby Mueller needs 10 more to tie Diane Arpert (1981-85) for sixth in school history.

• Sophomore Akilah McFadden is 18 points shy of reaching 500 in her career.

• With 31 made 3-pointers this season, sophomore Morgan Mader is three shy of reaching the top 15 in the school's single-season record book.
