Morrisville handed Penn College Loss in Conference Game


MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville handed Penn College a 98-72 loss in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday. The Mustangs improved to 6-1 NEAC, 8-7 overall, while the Wildcats fell to 1-5, 2-13.


Spencer Bartron scored a game-high 19 points for Penn College, on 7 of 9 shooting, including 5 of 7 from long distance. James Bullock and Robert Young Jr. both finished with 14 points for Penn College, and Bullock grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.

Tyrinn Miller paced Morrisville with 19 points, while four other players reached double figures for the Mustangs.

Penn College kept it a one-possession for the opening seven minutes of the game before Morrisville separated from a 13-10 lead, using an 11-5 run to lead 24-15 with 10:52 left. The Wildcats responded with an 8-0 run to get within one, 24-23, on a Bullock trey with 8:11 on the clock. The Mustangs ended the half on a 25-10 run to lead 49-33 at halftime.

Morrisville led by double-digits the remainder of the game.

Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 6 p.m., hosting Wells College.
