National Girls And Huskies Women In Sports Day Activities To Be Held On February 3

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - On Saturday, February 3, the Bloomsburg University women's basketball team will host a free basketball clinic in honor of National Girls & Women in Sports Day at Nelson Field House prior to a women's and men's basketball doubleheader against Lock Haven University.
The women's game will also serve as the team's annual "Huskies For Hope" contest in which the team will be wearing pink to help support breast cancer awareness. Pink "Huskies For Hope" t-shirts will be sold at the main entrance with portions of the proceeds going towards cancer research.

Boys and girls, grades kindergarten through eighth grade, are invited to take part in the basketball clinic hosted by the women's basketball team beginning at 10:00 a.m. A speed and agility clinic will follow at 10:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the clinics, there will be an activities fair held with student-athletes from the women's teams at Bloomsburg University. During the activities fair, participants are encouraged to interact with the student-athletes to learn more about their sport and about being a college student-athlete.

The women's basketball team will then take on the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven University starting at 1:00 p.m. Those who attend the clinic will receive free admission to the game with a post-game autograph session held following the conclusion of the contest. The men's game against Lock Haven will tip at 3:00 p.m.
