Wells Scoots Past Penn College Wildcats


WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Wells College dealt Penn College a 54-34 setback in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Wednesday. The Express improved to 6-12 overall, 5-4 NEAC, while the Wildcats fell to 2-14, 1-7.


Tori Wolfe paced the Wildcats with 15 points on 4 of 15 shooting. Cassi Kuhns finished with eight points and Ericka Lepley grabbed eight rebounds.

Kamarie Maturine led Wells with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

The Express led 15-10 after the first quarter and 30-14 at halftime. Penn College played nearly even with Wells in the second half with the Express holding a 10-8 third quarter advantage and a 14-12 fourth.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday, 3 p.m., at SUNY Cobleskill.
