Winter Serenade: A Close-up Concert Sunday January 14th

Romantic masters Brahms and Dvorak wrote serenades inspired by the charm and the mystery of the natural world. William Ciabattari conducts Dvorak's Serenade for Wind Instruments, Cello, and Double Bass, a musical homage to the graceful music that entertained strollers in eighteenth-century palace gardens. The sound of the horn moved Brahms to thoughts of majestic forests and the hue and cry of the hunt. His Horn Trio is performed by violinist John Eaken, hornist William Kenny, and pianist Gary Boerckel.
