Women's Basketball - Penn College Falls to Cazenovia

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 76-67 decision to Cazenovia in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball contest Wednesday. PCT fell to 2-12 overall, 1-5 NEAC, while Caz improved to 5-8, 2-5.

A trio of freshmen reached career-high in points for the Penn College, led by Ericka Lepley's game-high 24 points. Cassi Kuhns finished with a career-best 19 points, while Tori Wolfe had her best career performance with 18 points. Lepley pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds and Kuhns finished with a career-best 12 boards.

Four players reached double figures in scoring for Caz, paced by Skylar Girard's 19 points.

Penn College took its only lead of the game, 8-5, on a Kuhns layup with 7:22 left in the best. Caz answered with a 14-0 run to lead 19-8 with 4:35 on the clock. PCT rallied to pull within two, 25-23, on a Lepley trey with 30 seconds left and trailed 27-23 at the end of the opening quarter.

Caz outscored Penn College 21-9 in the second and 18-17 in third, and headed into the final stanza ahead 66-49 and lead by double digits the majority of the final period.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3 p.m., at Morrisville.
