Huskies Feiser Earns PSAC Men's Swimming Athlete Of The Week Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - Senior Sam Feiser (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) of the Bloomsburg University men's swimming team has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Feiser went a perfect 6-for-6 last Saturday as he helped the Huskies to a victory at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the team's regular-season finale. He earned individual victories in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard butterfly and then was part of four relay victories - 400-yard medley relay, 400-yard freestyle relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, and 200-yard medley relay.

He posted a time of 50.45 in the 100 fly, getting under the PSAC standard, and winning the race by more than two seconds. He then recorded his fastest time of the season in the 200 fly, touching the wall in 1:57.71 to win by more than two seconds and registering another PSAC mark. In the 400 free relay, Feiser had the fastest split of anyone competing (46.97) to help the team to a victory in the event (3:13.51). He also recorded the fastest split of anyone in the 200 free relay (20.75) to lead the team to a win in the event (1:25.57). He also was part of the 200 medley relay (1:36.30) and 400 medley relay (3:32.65) teams that also earned victories on Saturday.

The Huskies will now have a couple of weeks to get ready for the PSAC Championships. The conference meet gets underway on Wednesday, February 21, at 9:00 a.m. from the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania, and will run through Saturday, February 24.
