Lycoming Women's Swimming - Kramer, Zeller lead Warriors into MAC Championships

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area), with three top-10 seeds, and freshman McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holy Redeemer), with two top-five seeds, will lead the Lycoming College women's swimming team into the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships, as the four-day event kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m., at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.

Tickets for the four-day event will be available at the door for $6 for adults and $3 for students for the preliminary sessions, which includes Thursday night, and $7 for adults and $4 for students for a final sessions. All day passes are available for $12 for adults and $5 for students on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and an all-sessions pass is $30 for adults and $15 for students.

Kramer, who is a two-time All-MAC honoree in the 100-yard breaststroke, is seeded fourth in the Saturday race with a time of 1:10.46. She is less than four-tenths of a second out of third. Kramer also has top-10 seeds in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:35.29 (fifth) and in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:18.72 (eighth).

Zeller, who set the school record in the 100-yard backstroke on Oct. 21, 2017 and broke it twice since then, is seeded fourth in both the individual backstroke events. She has the ability to knock down her own record of 1:01.10 in the 100-yard event and also will have an eye on the 200-yard record of 2:12.22 set by BethAnn Schwoyer in 2012, as her seed time is within three seconds of the mark.

Also looking to earn points in the 200-yard breaststroke is freshman Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area), who is seeded 13th with a time of 2:40.99.  Freshman Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) is seeded 15th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.65.

The 200-yard medley relay team is seeded eighth, while the 400-yard medley relay squad is ninth. The 200-yard freestyle relay squad is seventh, the 400-yard freestyle relay team 10th and the 800-yard freestyle relay team ninth

The championships begin Thursday with the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relays. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, preliminary action begins at 10 a.m. before the finals sessions begin at 6 p.m.
