No. 19 TCNJ Upends Wilkes Wrestling 42-6

EWING, NJ – No. 19 The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) posted a 42-6 win over visiting Wilkes University in a dual match Friday night at Packer Hall.


With the loss Wilkes slipped to 10-13 overall in dual matches while TCNJ improved to 14-4 on the season.

The Colonels lone win came at 141-pounds when Matthew Grossmann pinned Robert Dinger in 2:11.

Of the nine TCNJ wins, six came on extra-point victories including three falls and three major decisions.

Wilkes returns to action tomorrow (Saturday) when the Colonels wrestle at the Messiah Open in Grantham, Pa. The next home dual is scheduled for next Friday (February 9) against No. 3 Ithaca College at 7:00 p.m. in the Marts Center.
