COMPLETE RESULTS

EDINBORO, Pa. - Junior Kirsten O'Malley (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) earned the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) title in the triple jump on Sunday afternoon, helping the Bloomsburg University women's indoor track and field team to a ninth-place finish at the 2018 PSAC Indoor Championships, hosted by Edinboro University, this weekend. The Huskies finished with a total of 43 points in the team standings.

Bloomsburg (No. 5-East) travels to Kutztown (No. 4-East) in the first round of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament. The teams split the regular season meetings, with both teams winning on their respective home floors.

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Bloomsburg University softball team posted two wins on the final day of the Coker Spring Tournament on Sunday (Feb. 25), beating Charleston 14-8 and Fairmont State 4-3.

Charleston would strike first for two runs in the bottom of the first, when a two-run dinger off the bat of Haleigh Christopher scored Siarra Harrington. The Huskies responded for five runs in the top of the second, which began with a double to left field by Marissa Shelhamer (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia). After Shelhamer advanced to third on a groundout, Ashli Venokur (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) continued her hot start with a RBI single to left to get the Huskies on the board. After a single from Abbey Remley (Berwick, Pa./Berwick Area) and a fielder's choice that retired Venokur, Maggie Hall (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown)roped a double to left field to score both Taylor Winkelman(Springfield, Pa/Springfield) and Remley to get the Huskies up 3-2. After Charleston made a pitching change taking out Jessie Rowe in favor of Carlee Lucas, Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) welcomed the new pitcher with a two-run bomb to left to score Hall. Charleston responded to knot the game at five-apiece with three runs in the bottom of the second, thanks to a RBI-double from Shelby Ume, a RBI-triple from Janie Schmidt and a sacrifice fly from Harrington. Each team would score once in the third, with Bloomsburg getting a leadoff walk from Hall. Advancing to second on a fielder's choice and to third on Venokur's second single of the game, Hall would score on another fielder's choice by Remley. In Charleston's half, Christopher drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second on a single by Kendall Marshall. Christopher was lifted for a pinch runner, before Emily Dutton poked a single to right field to score the third run for the Golden Eagles.

EDINBORO, Pa. - The Bloomsburg University men's indoor track and field team finished in ninth place in the overall team standings as the Huskies concluded competition at the 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Edinboro University, on Sunday. Bloomsburg finished the two-day event with 29 total points.
