Wilkes Men's Basketball Selected to Host ECAC Championship Tournament This Weekend

DANBURY, CT – The Wilkes University men’s basketball team will have the chance to continue its season as the Colonels were selected to host the 2018 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament this weekend.

Wilkes earned a No. 2 seed in pod No. 3 and will receive a bye into the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 2. The Colonels will face the winner of Penn State Behrend and Alfred University on Friday at 5:00 p.m. in one of four quarterfinal games at the Marts Center. The semifinal round will be played Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The championship contest is scheduled for Sunday at 1:00 p.m

Juniata College (22-5) will be the overall top-seed of the tournament. First round play will begin Wednesday, February 28 at regional sites.
