Women's Basketball - Penn College Falls to Wells College

AURORA, N.Y. – Penn College fell to Wells College 63-34 in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Thursday. The Wildcats fell to 1-11 NEAC, 2-18 overall, while the Express improved to 7-6, 8-14.


Tori Wolfe and Ericka Lepley combined for 30 of Penn College's 34 points. Wolfe finished with 15, on 6 of 11 shooting, and Lepley pumped in 14, on 5 of 17 from the field.

Carley Ryan led Wells with17, Shelby Medovich knocked in 16, and Kamarie Maturine pumped in 14.

The Wildcats outscored Wells 18-15 in the first quarter, but could not break double-digits the remainder of the game. Penn College led the majority of the first, and by as many as five when Wolfe's jumper with 6:23 left made it 11-6.

Penn College returns to action Saturday, 3 p.m., at Cazenovia.
