Keystone Little League's run for Williamsport ends


Pennsylvania watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 6-0 loss to Maryland on Thursday. Maryland took the lead on a double in the first inning. The Pennsylvania struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Maryland, giving up six runs.

Maryland opened up scoring in the first inning. Alex Navarro drove in one when he doubled. One bright spot for Pennsylvania was a single by Connor Foltz in the second inning.

Kannon Cropper got the win for Maryland. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over six innings, striking out seven. Gabriel Johnson took the loss for Pennsylvania. He surrendered two runs on two hits over three and a third innings, striking out three.

Connor led Pennsylvania with one hit in two at bats. Maryland saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Alex and Adam Gardnereach collected multiple hits for Maryland. Maryland didn't commit a single error in the field. Ryder Swanson had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
