Long-Term Closures for Flood Impacted Roads in Lycoming and Sullivan Counties

Montoursville, PA – Several roads impacted by recent flooding in Lycoming and Sullivan counties remain closed.

In Lycoming County, Route 1005 (Lower Barbours Road) is closed at the Village of Barbours due to damage to approaches at the bridge spanning Bear Creek. A detour is in place using Route 1007 (Dunwoody Road) and Route 87. Lower Barbours Road is expected to be closed until late August.

Route 2032 (Kehrer Hill Road) remains closed between Route 864 and Heilman Road in Upper Fairfield Township. This road also is expected to be closed until late August or early September. A slide repair project on Kehrer Hill Road between Fox Hollow Road and Route 2030 (Reeder Road) also is underway. Local detours are in place for both sections of this road.

In Sullivan County, Route 3005 (Ogdonia Road) remains closed between the Lycoming County line in Shrewsbury Township and Route 87 in Hillsgrove Township, and Route 4014 (Estella Spur) is closed between Route 154 in Elkland Township and Route 4011 (Millview Mountain Road) in Forks Township. Both roads are expected to be opened by late August or early September. Local detours are in place.
