Week Four Football Predictions

Williamsport, PA - It is week four of the 2018 football season and I am predicting nice weather and these winners. After three weeks I am 29-12 for a 71% winning average. So here are some thoughts I have after researching information for week four.

The Mounties of South Williamsport has won their first three games for the first time since 2013. The Indians of Muncy have lost the last seven encounters in this series. A win tonight would be a big upset and boot to the Muncy moral, but I think the Mounties will make it four in a row and eighth in a row against Muncy this evening.

Lycoming College is coming off a big win at Widener last week where their defense kept the Pride under 200 yards total net yards in the game. Also, the Warriors offense was focused and in tune. We think that momentum will continue against the Dutchman of Lebanon Valley.

Loyalsock played flawless defense last week against Shikellamy, Loyalsock moved to first place in the District 4 Class AAA playoff standings. Their explosive offense was also running in high gear. They should continue tonight against Bloomsburg.

Williamsport travels to Hazelton to play what has become a interstate rivalry. Games have been very close lately. The Millionaires will have to step up their defensive play and the offense will have to get more time of possession to give the D needed rests. We think Hazelton still has the edge tonight.

Montoursville's offense let them down last week against a motivated Jersey Shore last week. Fumbled snaps and out of sorts at times. We expect those problems have been fixed giving Montour a win tonight against Warrior Run.

Montgomery is ranked fourth in Playoff standings even with a frustrating first three weeks of play. They need a big win tonight to keep them in the playoff picture. Montgomery, Sayre and Bucktail are all fighting for the fourth playoff berth in Class A. So there is a lot on the line in this game tonight.

Jersey Shore moved to second in the District 4 Class AAAA standings with the 30-20 win against Montoursville last week. They had one of the hardest front loaded schedules in the area and Mont Carmel isn't any easier for them. Mount Carmel will try to control the game with it's superior size. Look for a close hard hitting game. Shore will have to play almost perfect football to come on top in this one.
