BLOOMSBURG, Pa. - For the second consecutive season, senior Tali Wehner (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) of the Bloomsburg University field hockey team has been named a Second Team All-American from Synapse Sports an announced by the organization. Last month, Wehner was also named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Second Team for the third straight year.

Wehner established career-highs in goals (2), assists (6), and points (10) in her final season with the Huskies from the midfield position.  She led the team in assists with six, game-winning goals with three (including one in the shootout victory over Lindenwood to open the season), and in shot attempts with 35. The three game-winning tallies were the first of her collegiate career and tied her for seventh in the PSAC in that category. She was also tied for seventh in the league in assists. Wehner finished her career with three goals and 16 assists for 22 points and missed only two games in her four seasons in a Bloomsburg uniform.

Last Friday, Wehner was one of three Huskies to participate in the Victory Tours / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Senior Game at Duquesne University's Arthur J. Rooney Athletic Field as she joined Erica Krebs (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and Jackie Shragher (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) for the contest.

Bloomsburg wrapped up the 2018 campaign, after its 2-1 overtime loss at Shippensburg in the PSAC Quarterfinals, with an 11-7 overall record. It was Bloomsburg's fourth consecutive season with at least ten victories and the eighth postseason appearance in nine seasons under head coach Nikki Hartranft. The 11 victories marked the 37th time in the last 38 seasons, dating back to an 8-5-3 record in 1980, that the Huskies have recorded double-digit victories.
