WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – After notching her third double-double and her first 20-point game of the season to lead the Lycoming College women’s basketball team to a 2-0 week, junior forward Kayla Kline (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for the first time in her career, the website announced late Monday, Dec. 3.

Kline averaged 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals in a pair of MAC Commonwealth wins to help the Warriors get out to a 2-0 start in conference play.

The junior started out the week with 19 points and a season-high five assists in a 74-49 MAC Commonwealth win over Albright. Kline went a perfect 8-8 from the free-throw line and pulled down four rebounds to help the Warriors defeat the Lions for the first time in five years.

She followed that by notching a double-double with a season-high 20 points and 13 rebounds to help defeat Stevenson 63-55. Kline finished off a three-point play to give the Warriors a 45-44 lead in the midst of a 14-2 run to give the Warriors’ control of the game early in the fourth quarter.

Kline is the fifth Warrior to be named to the women’s D3hoops.com Team of the Week and the first since Julia Antonelli brought home the award in 2013.

The Warriors (5-2 overall, 2-0 MAC Commonwealth) are back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 8 p.m. when they head to Lebanon Valley College for a MAC Commonwealth matchup.
